Incredible antique (circa 1920s) hand-knotted Persian Sarouk with traditional stylized sprays of flowering plants and shrubs and ivory and blue motifs sprawled across a soft, burgundy/red field, set against a deep blue ground to frame the field. The plush velvety pile for which Sarouks are famed underscores the air of luxury achieved by this classical Persian design. Light fading achieves a perfectly "worn-in" look everyone is after.

GREAT ANTIQUE CONDITION

Uniform wear. Light fading in areas. No noticeable stiffness or staining. Selvedges are fairly worn in places (as shown). Very faint "grandmas attic" smell. No other perceivable issues.
